UK premiere - Alice Coltrane’s Eternity’s Pillar

In 1985 jazz visionary and spiritual teacher Alice Coltrane received divine instruction to develop a devotional television programme, leading her to write, score and compose music for Eternity’s Pillar, a late-night television series in which she presented devotional wisdom, meditation and musical performances. The series vanished after its original transmission and was thought lost for decades.

Digitised from original U-matic broadcast master tapes recently recovered from the Coltrane archives, a selection of episodes chosen by @ishystfu._ will be shown in the UK for the first time on the evening of Wednesday August 19th.
